Preparing Your Boat for the Winter Season
As the sun sets on another great boating season, it’s time to get your boat ready for the cold winter months. Taking the necessary steps to winterize your boat will safeguard the vessel and its motor against the cold and mildew so that it’s ready to use when the warm weather arrives. Also, keep in mind that your insurance policy may not cover damage done by lack of maintenance or neglect.
Winterizing your boat at the end of the season is the best way to protect your investment and guarantee that your next boating season will be fun and safe!
Your first step to winterizing your boat should be to read your owners’ manual for any manufacturer recommendations and make a checklist of all the items that should be accomplished.
